Courtyard Ceremony and Reception with Cocktail Hour at Nick’s
During the day, the ceremony will shine with sunlight. After the ceremony, as guests enjoy a cocktail reception next door at Nick’s at the Pier, the courtyard will be transformed into a stylish reception space. For the reception, the overhead twinkle lights along with candles make the space glow with charm. We can accommodate up to 100 people for the traditional sit down dinner receptions and we provide 2 exquisite menu options.
Courtyard Ceremony and Reception:
Exclusive use of the center courtyard of the hotel will be provided for your guests. Access to the courtyard will be restricted for other guests of the hotel during your event. We will do our best to provide you with a distraction-free event but total privacy cannot be guaranteed unless the entire hotel is rented by your attendees.
$2,000.00 for (8) hours, October - April, excluding holidays or special weekends. $2,500.00 for (8) hours, May - September, excluding holidays or special weekends.
Nick’s at the Pier Cocktail Reception:
Nick’s at the Pier provides a “classy casual” atmosphere, boasts fantastic cuisine and top-notch service. Cost based on guest count. Contact Event Manager for pricing.
Refundable Security Deposit:
$1,000.00 - refunded after post event walkthrough if no damage is incurred.
Minimum 14 Hotel Rooms + Condo Suite Required:
15% Discount on Room Rates for Group, October - April
10% Discount on Room Rates for Group, May - September, two-night minimum required.
Rentals:
We require that our preferred supplier, Raphael’s Party Rentals, be used for all rentals including chairs, arch, and additional décor. This can be arranged directly with Raphael’s Party Rentals. Please contact Gloria Zepeda at 858-689-7368 ext. 102 for all rental needs.
Catering:
The Ocean Beach Hotel has two exquisite dinner menus to choose from (included in this packet). Although these options are both delicious and affordable for large groups, they are designed for a traditional sit down dinner reception. We do not require that you use our catering menus, but we do require that whoever is providing the catering can present proper food and beverage permits, as well as, proof of insurance. Additionally, we have recommended catering partners – just ask your Events Manager for a list.
Beverage and Bar Service:
Beverage service must be arranged through the Ocean Beach Hotel. Pricing is based on the timing of the event, the amount of guests, and the type of bar format. Please ask Event Manager for a quote.
Additional Services Available:
We can handle coordination elements of your wedding including rentals, florals, officiant, valet and photography. Ask the Event Manager for pricing to handle these services.

4PM-5PM: Cocktail Reception at Nick’s at the Pier
5PM: Dinner Reception Begins in Courtyard
7PM-10PM: Dancing!
